Payment Times
Having just billed my first new PPH client after a gap of more than a year, I am wondering what to expect in terms of payment performance.
Having submitted a withdrawal request last Thursday, I was a bit surprised that it had not been processed by the close-of-business on Monday.
I must say that I have never really understood what is meant by 'processing' as the withdrawal requests are always made from cleared funds and to previously-verified bank accounts - in this case, one that has been used many times before.
Although I am fairly used to PPH unilaterally changing their Terms & Conditions from time to time, I do find myself confused by the rather ambiguous timing promise of up to '48 business hours'.
On the face of it, this could be interpreted as 2 business days, which is long enough for an apparently irrelevant process, or it could be taken as 6 business days (@ 8 hours per day) which is totally unacceptable.
Add the inevitable weekend and you are talking 8 days.
Even after processing, PPH quote 24 hours to receive the funds whereas even the smallest business can transfer fairly large sums in minutes.
