can i communicate with a person about submission?
i'm currently just having no-reply emails sent to me stating various things, here's one such statement
"Your About Section is incomplete and more information will need to be provided. Please further describe what your skills are (within 100 words limit).
Make sure you provide a genuine profile picture. Illustrated pictures of yourself, your logo design, cartoon pictures or fake pictures will be rejected."
is that an upper or lower limit? also after adjustment to adhere to the requirements:
"Make sure you provide a genuine profile picture. Illustrated pictures of yourself, your logo design, cartoon pictures or fake pictures will be rejected."
i'd sent a photo, it was cropped but beyond that i didn't even alter the lighting so why am i getting that message?
well, i sent again and:
"Thanks again for submitting your application. After a close review by our team, we’ve determined that we cannot accept your application as it doesn’t meet our requirements. At PeoplePerHour, we pride ourselves on the quality of our freelance community and we approve only a few but great applications."
nothing else, just that so i guess that's the end of it and in the eyes of this site i'm a failure for reasons undisclosed. i'd like to communicate with a person regarding this rather than be sent such messages without the option to communicate.

thanks for the quick response, you have calmed my previous agitation :) i have now sent an email to support requesting proper feedback about this issue, so waiting for a response there.. wondering though, why do they need a profile pic at all? seems a bit silly. Also would i need to supply a photo if i registered under a company name rather than my own name? i'm sure i'll get to ask support officially but this method of communication right here feels like it's going to be a whole hell of a lot quicker if perhaps not entirely accurate.

not yet... so far you're still the only person to respond to me about this.
i'm finding it frustrating they can refuse me stating "Make sure you provide a genuine profile picture. Illustrated pictures of yourself, your logo design, cartoon pictures or fake pictures will be rejected."
yet when i view the site for other people there are tens on the first few pages that use either logos or cartoon imagery for their profile pics. there are even a few with no profile pics at all.
that said i'm starting to think i wasn't refused simply bc of the profile pic "issue" even though that was what was stated.
they do say they'll respond within 7 days (approx.) so that's fine. guidelines could certainly be better to inform users, though without them it gives the site refusal without the need to give an actual reason.
