Unpaid Invoice - PPH not helping
I have an outstanding invoice from August last year which both I and PPH chased on - at the end of the day, PPH didn't do anything else nor closed this buyer's account based on the fact that they have to have a few complaints. I consequently didn't leave negative feedback for the buyer because he of course would have reciprocated bad feedback automatically and it's not worth ruining my perfect feedback score. This buyer has since posted two further jobs for which the freelancers involved appear to be happy. I don't want this person to get away with it and whilst it is only $100, I'd rather get something and pay a company (at least then the guy has to pay). Can anyone recommend a site /debt collector where they'll send letter before action from a legit solicitor? I probably wouldn't take it any further than this but with any luck, he'll pay up.

I had this before a letter before action will cost up to 250 +vat from a solicitor and wouldn’t be worth it financially as more than likely it will be ignored. If they only paid the deposit start charging the full amount and perhaps name and shame the person and check to see if the business have used it if so small claims court will be the best option as they won’t have the permission to use + if it was from last august then feedback can not be given so name and shame

Hi Adam
Thanks for your reply. I saw a couple of places that will send an LBA for £20 to £25 so thought it was worth seeing if I could scare him into paying. PPH released the deposit to me but he's ignoring me and the remainder that's due. Is there anywhere on PPH community specifically for name and shaming?

Not really anyway just on threads on here. No point wasting £20 on templates letters best bet will be (depending on service) is finding evidence the client used your work and if in the UK paying 80£ to take him to the small claims court as they won’t have permission to use without payment in full.

Hi Adam
Thanks for your advice and will have a think about your suggestion. In the meantime, might as well make a start. The untrustworthy chap is called Will Spencer on PPH - profile page https://www.peopleperhour.com/freelancer/will-spencer-zwnzqvq?ref=buyer - suffice to say he ignored my messages and messages from PPH asking him to pay the remainder of the outstanding amount. He can't use not logging in as an excuse as he's since employed the services of two other freelancers who seem to be pretty happy with him. I'm assuming he couldn't get away with scamming them. Anyway, beware!!Lynn
