Contractual Protection

Hi, I've checked your helpful documents and I was not able to find any more information about this. I would like to clarify what's in my head. For example, I have a client and I have a rate of $7 per hour maximum of 40 hrs a week, the contract is good for 3 months. Does this mean that for 3 months the contract is not terminable by either freelancer or the client? I want to make sure I keep a long-term job for the client and I don't want them ending the contract earlier than what is agreed (3 months). Thanks for answering.

Hi Prince, thanks for messaging!
We're afraid that the work agreement outlined in the proposal can be terminated by the buyer if they are not satisfied with the work provided.
If the buyer receives the deliverables for the first month and is dissatisfied, they are not obliged to continue working with the freelancer for the remaining time.
We recommend both freelancer and buyer spilt the project into milestones (i.e. monthly). This means that the work completed within the milestone period is deposited into escrow before beginning the next round of work.
Hope this helps and if you have any further questions about this, please get in touch with our support team at support@peopleperhour.com and a member of the team will investigate further.
Best wishes,
