Asking buyers to buy offers based on freelancers pictures
Can i ask whats happened to the menu items along the top? when you selected an option from the categories along the the top it went to a list of offers now it goes to a list of freelancers?
At the top of the website you have a menu that says:
Technology & Programming
Writing & Translation
Design
Digital Marketing etc.....
When you clicked on these options it took you to a list of offers which was great now it takes you to a list of freelancers which is very bad, I was just wondering if this was temporary and it would be going back to normal as this was tried before by PPH and it didn't work out as a buyer the first thing you want to see is a list of offers not a group of faces!
I also feel it will impact on sales because buyers want to instantly see offers not faces as its to confusing, you are basically asking buyers to pick offers based on what we look like that small scroll bar at the top with offers on is a really poor way of doing it.
Let me just explain a bit more, i'm pretending im a buyer now i go to the home page and i click on 'Design' at the top then i click on the box that says 'logo design' i want to be presented with the offers just like it was before but instead I'm being presented with a load of faces this is a terrible move and as i said it was tried before, people aren't going to see the small sideways scrolling offers they will be looking at the list of faces they have just been presented with the list of category's at the top should always point to offers as the main showing not freelancers
That horizontal bar is far to small if anything it should be swapped around If you are buying a pair of shoes off a website you don't want to go to a website and see a load of pictures of the people that made the shoes do you? you want to see an entire page of the shoes on offer....
I do hope that this gets reverted back to how it was because its a very very bad move it didn’t work before it won’t work now.

Hi Chris, thanks for getting in touch and sharing your feedback with us, we want to assure you that we really do take all feedback we receive from the community seriously.
The changes to the site that you are referring to is part of a larger project that will be rolled out over the next year to move towards a unified search for buyers. Unifying search across both freelancers and offers will not only improve the buyer experience but ultimately will increase the volume and value of work for our freelancer community. We can assure you that these product changes have been made after an extremely in depth-analysis of buyer behaviour as well as some very important SEO factors.
We're committed to increasing this demand for the benefit of our freelancers who are the heart of our community and while we're not able to revert this product change, we do take your comments on board and will pass this onto the relevant team as product feedback.
Best wishes,
The Community Team
