Client asked for a linking fee

I am new to Peopleperhour . I got my first client and after submitting the work, I am sked to deposit a fee of $100 in order to link my account and get my payment. I just have a question that is it legit and happens or it is some kind of fraud?

  Oh please!  Time after time after time.  This isn't your first client. Did he award you the project from the job board in favour of the other applicants and then place money into Escrow? My guess is no, he didn't. He saw you as a newcomer who didn't read the terms and conditions.  Hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of these scams on here.  Read the help forums. Read the terms and conditions.
