You best book a ticket to Greece then. Because that's where the company has been move to. While the owner lives it up in new York creating more useless start ups!

It should be their. Because after submitting a proposal, many buyers had cancelled a job, but didn't informed to PPH. So, their is a lots of loss of proposals. PPH have to take some serious actions on these.

Well, they can ignore you on instant messenger just as easily as via a workstream or email.

    It won't solve your problem.

So, buyers have full right to not give any reply to the seller, whether the Project was allotted to somebody else or not?

Pradeep - I will see that you get this month's subscription to PPH refunded. Also the cost of the 30 credits refunded too.

We will also speak to Paul's supervisor.

    I am not from PPH.

Buyers can reply or not. It's human nature. Nothing to do with rights.

It's ridiculous that you can't send a further message/example of your work until the proposal has been accepted. So maybe this will help with that? Say a buyer changes the job listing by adding examples. At the moment you cannot do anything without having to cancel the proposal and do it all over again. This may be a way around that at least?

As a buyer I think this sounds like a good idea as long as the sellers could chose when to show themselves as online for the purpose of instant messaging.  The job posting/workstream system is clunky and too slow.  If I have a very straightforward project that someone could get started on right away and a seller is looking for their next job, an IM system would allows us to connect right away.  The buyer gets the project finished sooner - without the workstream delays and flood of responses that a job generates - and the seller gets paid that much sooner.  That's a system i would definitely use!

Q: Why it is a bad idea??

    Hi Muhammad!

Do you mean apart from it becoming another "freelancer.com" and all of the hundreds of other reasons why it's a bad idea? Or were you just being "ironic"?

There is literally nothing good about this idea, for any legitimate, successful freelancer. Those supporting it, tend to be the "let's do business outside of this site" types of people.

Q: Why it is a bad idea??

If this becomes part of PPH there would be an expectation from buyers that sellers are always available. They get an idea - they must talk about it straight away. Then they realise it's not right. A few amendments - lets chat with the seller.

Interruptions all day long and buyer frustration if you aren't available. Where have you been?

Life would be a real pain and sellers would be like puppets on the end of the buyers string.

At least now we have a choice. To skype or not to skype. To read that email or not. There is a healthy separation between buyer and seller. Buyers and sellers haveroom to breathe and think right now. That would be gone with instant messaging.

How many times I've composed an email, only to bin it by the time I've thought it through. That's good.

freelancer.com is doing good i guess.

I recently completed a job on PPH successfully. The only thing both of us faced was the "waiting".

We had a little misunderstanding and it got annoying when i had to wait for the reply for up to 5-10 mins. I don't think its reliable to call the client on Skype for chat and PPH for business. Why not both in 1 place. Mostly client don't use skype. I've faced such clients.

    @Paul

These things could happen even without the chat service.
