Change invoice amount

Hi had a project with a customer for £200.
I cant complete the full job so i refunded £160 and now i need to raise an invoice of £40 but it wont let me.
Why not?

  Hello Fraser.

  if that is a fixed job (I meant if that 200 pounds was your any hourlie price) then you can do that easily but here I have a way for you.

  step #1: Raise an Invoice with the 200 pounds (may be your hourlie Pirce),
  and after raising that one
  step#2: Raise another Invoice with 40 pounds and then cancel the first one (200 pounds)

  So, now you will have one Invoice which is 40 pouds.
