message about a proposal amount being too low
Hi!
everytime i put in an amount for a proposal, if it is too low, a message comes up saying the amount is too low compared to the otehrs etc etc.
"Based on Proposals from other Sellers sent for this Job the total amount you have specified is quite low. You will still have the same chances to win this Job even if you raise the amount to around £350"
How is this "too low" amount is worked out?
is it the average of all the proposal amount?
or is it the actual lowest amount a freelancer has put in??
Or...???(?)
..Cause i notice that after 4 bids, for instance, it may be say that the lowest proposal amount is £350...after 10 bids, it may say that the lowest proposal is £500.....!! i mean, how can the lowest proposal gone up in "6 bids time"??!! if it was £350, either someone has bidded a lower price (hence the lowest amount will be LESS than £350!!), or else if all the other 10 have bif MORE than £350, then the lowest should REMAIN £350!!!
it seems that there is something odd here...
ad if the message is: " Based on Proposals from other Sellers sent for this Job the total amount you have specified is quite low. You will still have the same chances to win this Job even if you raise the amount to around"
Then it is very misleading....cause I don't have the same chances if i bid £500 , cause someone before me had bid aready £300!!!!!
Can you explain????

I have something strange like this going on too! I put in a job at £25, was told to raise up to £38 (but this was per hour) but then wondered what happens if this should be the full amount - i.e. 4-5 days work? So I tried a different approach using a higher rate of £40, then it insisted I asked 100% deposit - but the entire job should ask 50% deposit. If I put in the full value of the job for all the hours at the £40 rate then it tells me I'm being unrealistic on the value of the job, I can't win!
