Why do you freelancers lie?
I posted a job recently and due to be mucked about for so long with other freelancers, I created 3 different questions, this way the freelancer could state what they were prepared to do rather than just guess, this is the response i got from
ARE YOU AN EXPERT IN WOOCOMMERCE AND CUSTOMISATION
definitely, I'm proficient in woocommerce.
HAVE YOU JUST SUBMITTED A PROPOSAL IN ORDER TO WIN THE CONTRACT WITHOUT READING AND FULLY UNDERSTANDING EXACTLY WHAT WE WANT
NO, I read your full job description and I understand what do you want.
WILL YOU, IF AWARDED THE PROJECT, TELL ME AFTER WASTING EVERYONE'S TIME, YOU CAN'T DO IT?
I can do it.
And guess what, lies lies lies!!!! He is not an expert as he doesn't know how to do it, didn't know how to complete the job (see question 2) and has now refunded saying he can't do it (see question 3)
Why do freelancers just lie all the time??

Please dont measure everybody by the same line.ve met an unhonest freelancer here.. some guys are rushing for any work here too much and make mistakes as your freelancer made.

Anyway, the best way to find a right person for your work is reviewing his feedback history or (in case he is newbie and don`t have any projects completed yet) to ask for relevant examples of job he had done.Best regards

The person's background and price for the job would also be an indication. It amazes me how cheap some people in my field offer to work - these people cannot be professionals who make a living out of what they do and have a reputation to think of. As they say "if you pay peanuts you get monkeys" ...
