Why does amount taken not correlate to invoice amount

So we've put a few jobs through PPH and always paid up as per requested, but PPH always take slightly more. No issue with this apart from it's a nightmare trying to balance our books as the two numbers are different. Can't be that hard to get right?

  I agree. I have exactly the same issue.  The amounts should be exactly the same.  It's not on.
