Can not edit name

HI! :) I can't edit my name in my profile (both fields name and surname are shadowed and a ban sign pointer prevents me from doing so). May it be because you can only do it once in a while (I am a newbie since less than 24hrs)? I received a notification that my account will be validated once I put my real name (I used my initials instead at first) but I can't do it :)
