Unresponsive Hourlie Buyers
Over the last couple of weeks I have struggled again and again with people buying hourlies and then not communicating. At best this is frustrating, at worst it means I can't start the project and risk failing to meet the hourlie duration deadline because I am missing a crucial piece of information that I can't start without.
Currently I have a client who purchased an hourlie and briefed me to deliver twice the amount of work the hourlie covered. I went back to the client and made clear she would need to buy another hourlie to cover the additional requirement, or if she didn't want to do this she would need to confirm which element of her brief she wanted me to complete under the original hourlie.
I've had no response whatsoever and clock is ticking.
What on earth do I do? I refuse to accept bad feedback for non-delivery, but I can't start the work without knowing which element to complete. I'm not completing both for the price of one hourlie.
This type of problem has driven me crazy over the last couple of weeks. I'm a PPH top seller, but I'll leave the platform if this happens again or I get negative feedback as a result.
There should be a way of pausing the official duration of an hourlie if you don't get a response from the client, or they're so slow in responding that you exceed the deadline.

Hi Graham,
Many thanks for your message. If the buyer does not provide you with what you need to get started, you can just submit a refund, select 'Other' as the reason and type 'Buyer has not provided the information needed to get started'. You should not receive an auto negative feedback rating for this. If you do, please let me know and I will get it removed.
I hope this helps.
Thank you and have a nice day.
