The website i paid for doesnt meet my expectations or needs. But ive paid the seller. I wabt a refund
I've got experience of WordPress and have edited two sites and have comfortably edited them both.
I approach pph because I had a limited budget. The seller agreed I would have full editing rights on completion.
During the process I assumed I would be able to edit easily and trusted the communication from the seller in India and released all funds. There were some communication lost in translation as I attempted to instruct on many occassions without them succesfully making change.
I got to the point where I was comfortable enough with how to edit so rather than try to show them after failing numerous times I took the decision to say " ok you don't understand what I'm asking you. I'll do it myself"
However the way the site was built is strange with the functionality very confusing. When I showed it to a web designer professional here in the UK, he couldn't get his head round it!
Has anyone else experienced anything similar? I'm going to go straight back to the seller with this.

Hey Michael
As a web designer and a buyer myself, I understand both sides of this predicament. First of all, it sounds like you have an offshore developer. A common is that many UK companies do not like offshore developers because they simply do not have the same high standards that we do.
Secondly, it really helps if you give really clear instructions and feedback on what you do or do not like.
The main thing to say is that you should not have released all the funds if you were not happy with the work - that is where you went wrong. You can simply reject the invoice and ask them to make amendments. They are supposed to do at least two rounds of revisions.
Out of curiosity, I can look at the site if you want... to give my opinion on how it was built. I am a WP expert and can probably tell you right away what was done "wrong". I also provide WP tutorials, so I can always find a way that the client can edit work easily.

Hi Sabrina,
Thanks for getting in touch.
I've contacted the developer direct highlighting errors and the communication issues and her not able to do as I asked.
The website is www.tagrev.co.uk
Rather than create a page and then add content, she's created posts and then inserted posts into each web page as well as not allowing full editing rights. (When I click edit, it takes me to the events page). I've asked three times for her to give me editing rights but she's only sent me instructions on how to edit the posts.
I'll continue to contact her requesting a part refund as I know pph can't do anything now.

yes i have experience exactly this with another so called web designer.. i need help in resolving my situation asap. many thanks.
I've also noticed he keeps changing his location very regularly.. very suspicious.
I need a refund but i have already released the escrow which he said i had to do so he can upload to my server which will allow me to fully check out the back end.. No development back end has been done and i have now been scammed by £750.
I need help with this asap
thanks
