Question about payment

Hello everyone, I landed my first job here on peopleperhour and have a question.

Although I've read the guides I am not totally sure if I understood right.

 

The custom job had a budget of $50 and I requested a deposit for $37.50

1) Do I need to raise an invoice for the remaining $12.50 or is $37.50 the final amount?

2) If yes, do I attach the files first and then raise an invoice or the other way around?

  Hi Tasos,

  Many thanks for your message.

  You must always ask for 100% of the funds as a deposit to be paid in escrow which is your security to ensure you are paid in full for the work.

  You need to raise an invoice for the full $50 which is the amount you wish to be paid.

  You can attach the files the files when you send an invoice, however, first I suggest you request more deposit to cover the remaining $12.50. Then raise your invoice and submit the files.
