Hourly Rates v Fixed Price

When the description of the job isn't very clear on the volume of work required, is is it OK to enter an hourly rate in the proposal instead of a fixed rate?

  Thanks Kelly.  So in the proposal breakdown section, enter "hourly rate" in the item description box?  If successful, how does the hourly billing with the client work?

  Yes you can do that. If accepted, you can send a request for more deposit for the amount of hours you have agreed with the client.
