Cancelling Proposals
Hi there, I have applied for many my limit of jobs since joining PPH recently. However, a lot of buyers who post jobs will often ignore a lot of people, therefore leaving proposals just sat, waiting on nothing.
If i decide to cancel these proposals, due to their lack of response, can I be refunded my proposal 'point'?
Many thanks

Hi Henry,
Many thanks for your message.
Please note in order for your proposal credit to be refunded the job must be cancelled by the buyer.
If you cancel the job you will lose the 'proposal credit'
I will pass your concerns onto our product team.
If there is anything else I can help you with let me know.

Hello, I have a similar request. I came across a job post that was described as "Review my website". I gave it a shot and was contacted by the buyer. He gave me some instructions which I followed only to find out that it was reviewing a porn site. I immediately shot that proposal down and cancelled the job upon which I reported the buyer.
My question is "Why have I not gotten my credits refunded yet"?

I too have serious reservations regarding the majority of proposals now pending in my workstreams. I have all but used up my monthly allowance with very few awarding (to me or others) or cancelling the projects. Indeed I still have some from the previous month which look as though they are just going to expire (acknowledging that one cant transfer the free credits). Given the lack of consideration from buyers with respect to cancelling (or awarding) projects that they appear to have no intention of undertaking; I question the business model of then having to pay to put forward further proposals.

To the PPH Development Team:
I agree with all concerned freelancers, as I experience that too. Not on this website only but on another freelancers' website as well. OK, although another website wouldn't be the concern of PPH, PPH IS the concern of PPH and a way to make it better and more fair to the Sellers (freelances) would definitely be to refund any proposal credit due to lack of responsiveness from the Buyers.
I get that too so many times. Jobs expire without the Buyer selecting (or so it seems) any freelancer. It is so annoying. Out of 100 jobs, only about 15 get to be awarded to a freelancer.
That's a very serious concern.
So:
Suggestion to the PPH Development Team: if a freelancer cancels a proposal after, let's say 15-20 days, then please make the proposal credit to be refunded to the Seller/freelancer.
With many thanks in advance.

Hi Kelly,
No buyer is showing interest in my proposals and i have used all of my proposals credit. Unable to contact any buyer in the workstream or chatline.
How may i send them request to cancel my proposal if they don't have interest. Or is there any way to talk with support team to do so.
Thanks,

Hello,
I just signed up today, for help with my project. Also, today, I found a neighbor who is qualified and willing to do my sketch for a city permit. Can you cancel my order and refund me my money? Please notify me as soon as possible that you have received this email. Also, please email me your response and let me know about my credit and that my job is no longer being posted.
Thank you.
My name is Pristine Summer
My email is 18848MA@gmail.com
Again, thank you.

Morning, I am in the same boat as the above sellers, I have a workstream littered with proposal credits that are just being ignored and do not want to lose my credits because someone has found a seller via another site etc and not cancelled their job on PPH. Please advise the best course of action as some of these proposals date back around 7 days and I see alot of other sellers also on the same jobs as me with wasted credit that could be used to improve buying experiences elsewhere on the PPH.
Kind regards,
Kal

I particularly agree with the above post from Demetrios, PPH is losing value unnecessarily and needs to be attentive so you don't lose your freelancers:

Thanks, Kallon.
Indeed, PPH needs to take action on this. It's a matter of credibility, a matter of respect to the bidding freelancers, and a matter of making this platform more fair to use (in the sense of not losing proposal credits from bidding on jobs of unresponsive Buyers).
To the PPH team: imagine one went for an interview at a regular job. Then he or she received no response, either a positive or even a negative one. Would that person be encouraged to send move CV's to employers who, potentially, would act (or not act actually) in a similar fashion?
Please protect your freelancers from unnecessary frustration.
We are all thankful for the 15 or so free proposal credits per month, which are equivalent to 1 per 2 days. Fair enough. But at least protect us from losing them to Buyers who simply like playing around with posting jobs to which they will never respond for sooooo many different reasons (they can have their reasons, but freelancers have their right not to lose from the ignorance of Buyers who disrespect the anticipation of awaiting freelancers).
Looking forward to seeing something done on this soon.
Demetrios
