Serious Flaw in PPH Dispute Review – Evidence Ignored | Request for Senior Review !
Post Content:
I want to highlight a serious issue with how my dispute was handled by the PPH Dispute Team.
The accepted proposal explicitly required publication of a client-provided article on a specific website.
I did not write or modify the content — my task was publication only.
Facts:
-
The client provided the original article in Google Docs.
-
The article was published on the agreed website.
-
The published article is 100% identical to the client’s draft.
-
All proof (draft + published link) was shared inside the WorkStream.
Despite this, PPH ruled that:
-
The deliverable did not meet “minimum quality standards”
This reasoning is illogical, because:
-
The content was never required to be written by me
-
The contract required publication, not authorship
-
Identity between draft and published article proves compliance, not failure
The buyer was refunded despite full contractual completion and clear evidence.
This raises a serious concern about:
-
Misinterpretation of contract scope
-
Ignoring WorkStream evidence
-
Applying quality standards to work that was not part of the agreement
Additionally, I contacted PPH Customer Support, and they acknowledged that the dispute decision was incorrect, but stated they cannot intervene or correct it because they do not have access to the Dispute Team.
As a result, the buyer was refunded despite full contractual completion and clear WorkStream evidence.
I am sharing this so freelancers are aware and to request clarification from PPH on how such disputes are reviewed.
In addition to losing the full payment, I also lost $250 in dispute fees.
I respectfully request:
-
A senior Dispute Team re-evaluation
-
Review strictly based on the accepted proposal and WorkStream evidence
-
Clarification on why publication-only work was judged on content quality
I appreciate any guidance or escalation support from the community or PPH staff.
Thank you,
-
Im so glad you posted this. The same thing happened to me. I did the work, the client frauduently requested a refund after I delivered all the work and evidence and then PPH refund them. I feel humiliated, used, wronged.
I would recommend to take PPH to small claims court in your local country to get the money you are owed back. -
It’s very disappointing that PPH charges a $250 dispute fee, yet the case was resolved unjustly. Other platforms like Upwork and Fiverr charge $0 for disputes and still manage to resolve them fairly.
Thanks for sharing your experience, Charles. It’s unfortunate that multiple freelancers are facing similar issues. I’m hoping PPH will review these cases fairly and introduce senior-level reviews to prevent such outcomes in the future.

I don't think so, it's run by just a few people I think Sofia only runs this platform. I haven't received money from another project I was told it was to take 2+ weeks and 48 hours for the transfer (ridicolous) and I still haven't received it. Its very concerning.
No wonder everyone has decided to use Upwork because they don't pay you the money you worked for and refund the buyer , its too much risk for a freelancer -
The same thing happened with me. Even when I have completed the project and delivered it to client. Person after 2 month raised an issue to PPH support. PPH took action against me without informing me and refunded the amount to that person as a refund. This is very critical and when I reviewed that person profile, I saw he has done same kind of scam with other freelancers. I think the dispute team and finance team just only give favour to client or buyers instead of freelancers without even revieiwing the profiles and stats of these person.
