Does PPH charge payment fees?
Just accepted a proposal and deposited the amount the seller requested via PayPal. The receipt from Paypal shows that I paid 10% more than the agreed upon deposit amount. The payment was made in USD so I wouldn't have to pay currency conversation charge and bank fee for the transaction.
I've been on PPH for several years, always paid with PayPal, and never experienced such high fee percentage.
I know that PayPal does not charge 10% transaction fee. So my question is, does PPH charge the buyer 10% for every payment?

I was just asked to complete a VISA transaction stating 10% more than I had accepted to pay. Look here https://www.peopleperhour.com/static/terms#pph_fees
you will find that there is now a hidden 10% charge on all payment methods which is a bit silly considering. I would expect this to just be added to the price the provider offers as being the cost. PPH are obliged to in a serious business environment offer a receipt/invoice for these levied costs as they don't appear on provider invoices, obviously.

I wasn't aware of buyer fees until the message above provided a link to PPH's T&C where. PPH can charge any service fee they want, and they are doing it legally, but they need to be transparent if they want me as a buyer.
Fees should be advertised front and center instead of having to search for them and there are ample opportunities to do so before buyers clicks Accept, Pay, etc. Existing buyers/sellers should be notified of T&C changes. When prices are listed in USD it should be clearly indicated that payments are in GBP.
Don't know much about commerce in the UK but in the US none of this will fly. Shame on me for not monitoring their T&C regularly.
