Automatically decline proposals
When you accept a proposal, PPH should automatically notify all other sellers, saving the buyer time (and face).
At the moment, I have hopeful sellers pestering me, and in one case they even started work on the job before I accepted anything!
This is a mess.

Hello there
I am currently working on a translation project which is declined on the platform.
Should I go on or stop? Because buyer asks me to continue, and claims that I took the project and it is no longer available that's why it is declined.
P.S. I did 2 other projects besides this one , finished them, handed them and didn't even get paid.
So please do reply.
Best Regards -
PPH needs to stop this and the only way to do this is to stop anyone new from signing up as a freelancer. They clearly have no idea of how these platforms work and you can tell them till you are blue in the face what to look out for but they are clearly desperate that they just believe any old story. The more you encourage these freelancers on the site the more the scams will come.
also, you should only be able to bid on your one area of expertise. For example, if you are a digital marketer/SEO marketer then you shouldn't be bidding on graphic design work. Too many people just bid on any project and they have no skills. The 'i'll do it' mentality needs to change

I completely agree, Adam, although I would take it a step further and have an identity check when a buyer signs up. That would stop them using false names and stop them coming back with a new account when they get blocked.
The platform is being used by criminals to exploit desperate and inexperienced people. PPH have a legal and moral obligation to stamp this out. Criminal activity just attracts more criminal activity and it drives away the genuine business.
You are quite right. There are far too many people coming here, thinking they are going to get rich when they don't have the skills or the experience. PPH are not helping the situation when they imply there is far more work available than there really is. They are claiming that there are literally thousands of projects in every discipline every month, and that is nonsense.
PPH also have to be clear about whether they only want freelancers who will do the work themselves, or whether they want agencies who will farm out the work. That is a simple yes or no question. If they do, they should introduce a different type of account and if they don't they should prevent it. Blocking bids outside a person's skill area would be a start.
