Why are hourlies being hidden?
My profile views have dropped by 45% this month because less sellers are using hourlies. You are directing them to post jobs.
Why was this decision made? Is it another money grab because you want freelancers to pay for proposals?
It is extremely unfair for the many hard working freelancers who have built a high rating hourly over the past few years. Most buyers won't ever see it!! Hourlies deserves the same prominence as "Post Job".
This is yet another poor decision that hurts long-term freelancers on your platform. Do you expect us to compete for jobs with a dozen other third world freelancers posting at half the rate?
Hourlies allowed us to set a reasonable rate and make a compelling argument for the sale. 20% and now this -- What is going on with this company??

They want you to promote your Hourlie for a fee...
And they are doing everything they can to encourage people to work as employees on the site - that is, having long term clients on the site that they can rely on for income.
They are not encouraging short term working with individual clients.
My guess is that they are positioning themselves as a quasi-employment site. The way it will work is that they will encourage employers to bring their employees to the site to work in a freelance capacity for the 3.5% fee.

They aren't a quasi-employment site because they don't guarantee work and they don't pay any additional benefits. This is all about greed -- they think they can make more money by having people post jobs (more money to feature your job, more money from proposals). It's FREE to post an hourlie, which they have an issue with.
