Are most job posts fake?

    Hi Luis,

In my experience there are a lot of fake jobs posted on PPH but I'm sure it is nothing like 90%. Just because a job is posted by somebody with a new account it isn't necessarily a scam. Some of my better projects have come from buyers who have only just signed up to PPH. A scammer will probably use a new account but that doesn't mean that most new accounts are scams.

A lot of projects are closed without hiring or they are left until they expire. I think there are a lot of different reasons for this. Some are posted across multiple platforms. I sometimes do work on two other platforms and I have seen the same project posted two or three times. If somebody is hired through another platform the PPH project will be left hanging or closed without hiring.

Sometimes the buyer is doing the work for somebody else and they have not won the project themselves. They post it on PPH to find a freelancer to complete it but they have not actually got a project to award. These can be left hanging or they may come back later, sometimes a long time later.

Sometimes projects are posted that should be marked private, but they are not. The buyer and seller may have worked together before or they may have had contact with each other. This can result in a project posted with an incomplete specification but it means something to one freelancer but not to anybody else.
