Delayed project start

Hi 

I have a project proposal coming to and end. I want to commission a developer - but I'm not ready to start.

How do I hold onto the developer - without paying a deposit - if the project proposal is closed.

  Hi Howard,

  Once your project is published and you start receiving proposals, you can review these proposals and eventually accept one of them whenever you feel ready to start, even if the project has expired. However, you are advised to award the project within the first week. 

  Alternatively, you could contact this particular freelancer, through the Contact option on their profile or the freelancer listings page, and create a private project (on the Contact form you select Make this a public project post to receive more Proposals: 'Νever'), which will only be between you and the freelancer.
