Hi I am Ravi...... My application has been rejected for the third time.

It says 'Your application has been rejected for a third time. Please contact our support team so that you can apply the necessary changes and start selling on PeoplePerHour.'

Please let me know what's the problem so that I can fix it.

    Thank You.

    • Remove contact details

We urge our freelancers to never add their contact details such as phone number, skype or email address under their freelancer portfolio or profile.

If an email is sent to you informing you that your freelancer application got rejected due to contact details make sure you edit and remove them.

    • Wrong location

We also urge our users to add their real location under their profile. Our back end system can tell when your location profile does not match with your IP Address.

By receiving this email you will need to proceed and add the correct address.

    • Genuine profile picture

We urge all our freelancers to have genuine profile pictures of themselves and we shall reject any logos or illustrations.

My application was rejected for the third time. I also received this message:

Thanks again for submitting your application. After a close review by our team, we’ve determined that we cannot accept your application as it doesn’t meet our requirements. At PeoplePerHour, we pride ourselves on the quality of our freelance community and we approve only a few but great applications.

So which one is it? Is there a problem which is technical, or is my application not good enough?

And if it is the latter, what is the specific problem? I have been a professional for years and provided my CV  AND portfolio to prove it. Given that I paid extra for a faster turnaround, I think I deserve some explanation.

they said to me that "We are currently experiencing a very high number of freelancer applications."

As a result, we need to make the hard decision of pausing applications for certain service categories according to demand for those skills.

We apologize for the disappointment this is causing. For now, there is nothing more you can do to strengthen your application. In the case, the demand for your chosen category increases we will get in contact with you.

    Hello Arun,

This is very helpful. At least you got an answer. I was trying to figure out if there is a problem with my using a VPN, or my artist name and stuff like that. But to read that the standards might be too high is entertaining to say the least.

I guess, and this is just an opinion, that due to covid, many people try to find an income online, and it becomes a "first come, first served" situation.
