rogue develpoer/ agresive seller/ manipulative seller
Answereddeveloper says he wouldn't communicate any more as 'his time and consultations cost'
depveloper aggressively starts demanding half of the payment upfront after i funded escrow, after being pushed i agreed to release half the funds as he was trying to say i wasn't serious
the premiss was to develop a customer ready online store, he hadn't done that, he uploaded a few products, but nothing that was worthy of putting out there. he was so aggressive throughout all the communications,
obviously, he demanded the other half of the money to be released but i refused, now he's pulled the plug on my site and i cannot even access the back end to try to work on it myself.
i looked at his recent reviews and others had said the same.
i should have known better but time was ticking to get up and running to sell my products.
I'm out of some money, and no site, potentially losing sales daily. i don't know how to regain access to my site now and i don't know where to go from here.

Hopefully you have a backup of your website
- Change passwords to all logins you gave him
- Change FTP passwords or remove his access
You have had a bad experience here but one you must learn from, never give unrestricted access to developers, if working on a live site, insist they make a backup and work off site (for a number of reasons) better yet get hosting with staging so you can have more control over the development.
Personally I would always prefer to develop in my dev area to mitigate the risk of client stealing my work, but that is what escrow is for I suppose.
Happy to assist you if I can in any way.
