Request reason for declined proposal
I've stressed this before, and all I got was a standard cut n paste acknowlegement, then further responses ignoredL https://support.peopleperhour.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115008584288-Request-Quote-Declined-reason?input_string=Request%20reason%20for%20declined%20proposal
Again, this is an increasingly frustrating part of the seller/freelancer process, particularly now PPH like to charge 3 credits for pretty much all jobs.
Writing proposals takes time. To have them declined with no reason is frustrating.
To have PPH then stick on a "You can try out a new Proposal that XXX cannot refuse." is insulting to the seller.
Why should I potentially waste another 3 credits, or even, one on a futile exercise when the seller can't be bothered to tell me why?
There SHOULD be a way of a buyer requesting an explanation why the proposal is declined, if not then the credit should be refunded.
An optional 'Request reason' checkbox when submitting a proposal should be available. If the seller declines then a reason is expected.
If you want to keep is as it is then the credit(s) should be refunded if a proposal is declined, or the new proposal should be FREE, or messaging should be allowed to request a reason.
The current process flow is unacceptable and insulting.
Thanks

Always getting buyer & seller mixed up & won't let me edit. Should read:
Why should I potentially waste another 3 credits, or even, one on a futile exercise when the buyer can't be bothered to tell me why?
And

I agree Stephen
I also feel that PPH should chase up on jobs that are never responded to or deleted, Id like to know how many of my valuable proposal credits have been lost in time to projects that have never been awarded.
Maybe a good way around this is to have the same rules as unpaid invoices, if a buyer posts a job, and receives a certain number of proposals, but does not award the work within 2 weeks, then the job is suspended and credits returned to the freelancer.
I feel a little at the moment that there is far too much protection for the buyer and not enough for the freelancer.
Thoughts on this would be much appreciated PPH.
