Location defaults to London, UK

Hi,

I paid for the premium approval process.

Each time I set my location, it automatically switches back to London. After trying multiple times back and forth, I got an email confirmation saying it is now approved.

But my dashboard still tells me that my application is on hold.

  First up, got an email asking me to provide a Real Name and Location which the interface was not accepting, and it kept defaulting to London, UK.
  
  Then after 4-5 attempts, the Profile change reflected my correct location (Margaon, IN).
  
  Then the dashboard made me resubmit the application.
  
  Immediately got an email saying the application has been now denied. The reason given was "too much competition" in my niche.
  
  If the said categories (Writing in my case) were crowded, is it possible I could have been informed prior, and I would not have paid the fees to fast track my application?
  
  Overall the experience of applying was frustrating and confusing.
