Automatic Refunds

Similar to automatic payment of invoices, we will automatically refund cash from escrow under certain circumstances.

  • Automatic refunds occur when a stream is deemed inactive. 
  • The Seller will then be alerted by email. They can take action to keep the WorkStream live.
  • Email notifications:
  • For Hourlies: 1 day after expected delivery date, after 15 days and after 30 days. 
  • For Jobs: 30 days of last activity in the stream, after 45 days and after 60 days
  • Circumstances for automatic refund of escrow money:
  • Hourlie streams
  • More than 30 days have passed since the expected delivery date
  • No invoice raised in the stream (since Hourlie purchase)
  • There are funds in escrow
  • There are no pending refunds / disputes
  • Job stream
  • More than 30 days have passed since the last activity in the stream (message / action)
  • No invoice raised in the stream since the last accepted proposal
  • There are funds in escrow
  • There are no pending refunds / disputes
