Workstream messages messed up
Are anyone else's messages in the workstreams completely messed up? First of all, I'm not getting half the messages, so that's annoying as it is. Then, the ones I do get are completely in the wrong order. A message I would JUST receive is now on page 7! I don't understand the sorting of the messages. Plus, several workstreams I had a few months ago have been completely deleted. I would like to have access to the files that were sent there.
Does anyone else have this problem?
I notified PPH at the beginning of the week, but nothing has been resolved yet.

Hey Zoe
I've checked back at the proposals I've sent over the last month and 90% of them HAVEN't got a "seen" tag.
I don't know what is going on.
I just assumed that was because the jobs that I was applying for thought I was too expensive, or just viewed others over me. I wasn't aware that it could be because they weren't going through. I always use the word "pay" or "email" in the proposals because I highlight offers that I do where they get something for free that they would ordinarily pay for, for example.
I will never win a job again

Hi Sabrina,
I had started throwing a featured proposal at anything that had the potential to be ongoing work, but that's clearly a waste of money. I had also bought extra proposal credits in January as I wanted to build up a portfolio of clients for February and March where I will be too busy with the 'other' job to look for new clients as well as working for those I already have.
That was clearly an enormous waste of money, and time. PPH, if you're reading, I would like a refund for those, please.
Before this, I was enjoying something like a one in three/four hit rate with jobs. I think we all deserve some answers here.

Sorry to keep bumping this thread - I'm doing it in the hopes PPH might actually notice and DO something.
Completely screwed up - yesterday, a note from a potential client apologising for not responding to my proposal as he didn't see it until after the job was awarded (I paid for a featured proposal for that one - is that just money in PPH's pocket for no extra benefit?), and today, my best client needing urgent copy - had I not logged in before popping out for a few hours I wouldn't have known, as I've had no email notification in the HOUR since she posted the message.
If anyone else is still having issues, please post here over the next couple of hours as I'll be emailing the link to this thread to PPH *again* this afternoon.

RIGHT TODAY WAS A JOKE...i received a a message today(Monday) from Friday Telling me my proposal was accepted on Friday and a whole detailed list of what I needed to do to meet the deadline (WHICH IS TOMORROW!!!) i got the message today at about 2.30pm this is a Joke...i have just received another notification telling me some else has sent me something too... it could be ANYTHING... this has to stop...

I've had an email from Support today saying that every time the site is tweaked, something else falls over (my words, not theirs, but that was the gist of it).
They're not kidding.
The attitude of whoever looks after the Twitter and Facebook accounts (often quicker...or at least it *was*) currently appears to be "we're not looking".
I'm loathe to build up a profile elsewhere, but I came close to crying with frustration twice last week. And I'm not a cryer.
Neil, you're right. Currently, it is a joke.
-
At least you receive them... I just get blank messages... could be great work opportunities, but I will never know! Of course, I am kidding - your situations are also incredibly annoying.
I always submit work, but attachments go missing and my clients often don't believe me :(
I didn't have a dashboard for three days too... so I'm not sure what that's about! Regarding proposals... I haven't even sent one all month because they aren't delivering. Don't see the point in wasting my time. I'm leaving my profile up because some people can still find me. But as far as I'm concerned, I cannot actively do anything on here until these things are resolved.
I've already concentrated elsewhere because of this.

Hi Guys,
Well my messages have mostly been a bit better. However one didn't come through that I then received an email for from PPH support....
"At PeoplePerHour, we believe that smooth communication is a key factor of customer satisfaction. And we value that a lot. That’s also why we clearly show the average response time in the Seller stats and expect our Freelancers to reply through the WorkStream to direct messages from Buyers within 24 hours.
Although today is a working day for you, we have noticed that you have not communicated in time with the Buyer for this WorkStream.
Important. Please note that we will have to move your profile lower in the Freelancers listings for the next 14 days if you fail to take action within 24 hours from this email."
Not sure whether this is because it was a new 'direct contact' for a job, but it was a job posted only for me. Either way it's a good job I saw that email as it could have affected my rankings :(
-
I've never seen anything like that before! That's crazy. Or maybe I have had that sent and never noticed it! That's why my rankings dropped! Wow. Just wow. What are we supposed to do with all this extra negative things in place? I don't understand how we're supposed to work properly if we're to worry about all these extra things.

Hi Guys,
I did see another thread a similar problem - but in that case, the person had replied and the message hadn't sent apparently.
I was wondering whether it was something to do with it being a direct contact (you know how some jobs show on the dash with the blue marker on the dashboard) and the fact that those ones don't flag up in the inbox as standard. But then I was certain that every message is meant to show up isn't it? Previous to this I'm sure I've had the same issue, and only noticed it by checking the dash.
In any event, the emails must be a new thing as I've never had one before either :(
-
Just received my first direct message warning via email! Never even heard of it before. So, it warned me that I should be replying to some message, that I had never received, otherwise my rankings would be affected. It turned out that person had gotten frustrated by me not replying that he looked me up and contacted me off PPH instead. So, before I actually received the warning, I had already received a phone call and email from this guy OFF PPH! OK, so now, we have reverted back to PPH and he's bought one of my hourlies. But, PPH didn't help the matter at all there :( As I said, I'm leaving my profile up, because it seems clear that people can find me, like this guy. But, communicating via PPH is almost impossible.
Generally I now agree to do transactions via PPH but communicate via email/phone.

There's definitely a sense of 'problem? What problem?' at PPH Towers today. I had an email from support earlier saying that it was all fixed...
...at exactly the same time my best client sent me a message to apologise for not paying me sooner (we're talking hours, here - they're THAT good) as PPH no longer emailed her when she had messages.
-
PPH don't really answer about anything specific anymore. They've also taken away their chat system and just gone back to ticketing. This is causing a massive back log in replies too.
I have stopped using the site because their messaging system is so messed up, that I never got any of their messages. This caused them to revoke my seller privileges!!
Unbelievable really.

I've had trouble this week - a new client, and potentially an ongoing one, and we haven't actually been able to agree a project title because it's full of trigger words.
To be fair to PPH, they were super-hot to address a problem last month where I was getting inappropriate messages from a client (they were off the site, never to return, within 30 minutes!), but the general message stream problems are still as bad as ever.
I've just made TOPCERT. I can't imagine I'll stay there long.
